Data shows that the consensus among miners is to immediately implement a 2 MB expansion, while users are asking for 8 MB or more. We are writing software that miners and users want. We call this codebase Bitcoin Classic. It is a patch to bitcoin-core that increases the Bitcoin block size to 2 MB. Any recent version of the software run by miners and businesses can upgrade to the 2 MB block version.
