Ethereum-based data-sharing platform wins first prize in Citi Mobile Challenge

Cetas, a decentralized platform developed based on Ethereum, won first place in the Citi Mobile Challenge hosted by Citi Group.

At the Citi Mobile Challenge Bangalore Demo Day, a total of 1,900 research projects from 386 cities participated in the roadshow. Cetas's development team Algorythmix felt very honored to be selected from so many creative projects, saying:

“Our entire team is very happy to be selected as the most innovative project. For us, developing projects with transformational significance is the most important thing. Citi provides us with a very good platform to encourage innovation.”

So what kind of project is Cetas? The Algorythmix team said:

Cetas is a decentralized platform that uses blockchain to share KYC data. We have also added a protocol layer for decentralized credit rating functions and an advanced function to handle scalability issues.

Jorge Ruiz, Citigroup’s global head of digital acceleration, said:

“The Citi APAC Mobile Challenge is Citi’s largest and most competitive program to date. We saw so many outstanding and innovative solutions during the roadshows in Bangalore, Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong.”

Ruiz congratulated the winning contestants and said he would work with them in the future.
