Wanxiang Blockchain Lab BlockGrant X Second Sponsorship Program Results Announced

Blockchain technology has become a hot topic for overseas financial institutions and has also attracted a lot of attention in China. The continuous deepening of research on basic technologies and related theories is the prerequisite for the implementation of blockchain applications in the future. As a research institution focusing on supporting the popularization and application of blockchain technology, Wanxiang Blockchain Lab provides excellent project sponsorship plans for the blockchain technology development and application community, providing certain financial support for excellent projects around the world in a free manner, thereby contributing to the development of global blockchain technology.

In the first phase of the BlockGrant X #1: Genesis sponsorship program, Wanxiang Blockchain Lab provided a $100,000 bonus to nine projects around the world, covering basic technologies, consensus algorithms, etc.; the winners of the just-concluded second phase of BlockGrant X #2 have been announced, with a total sponsorship amount of $40,700.

In this issue's list of winners, in addition to several blockchain technology application projects, there is also a study on "the judicial effectiveness of blockchain electronic certificates." The following is an excerpt from the project application:

“The core of this study is the judicial evidence and authenticity of the public accounting voucher system of blockchain. We hope to examine the practicality of blockchain from the dual perspectives of technology professionals and legal professionals, and put forward improvement suggestions or opinions on the judicial evidence of blockchain technology, so as to lay a foundation for the long-term development of blockchain.
1. General judicial recognition of electronic data as evidence in China and internationally
2. The difference between blockchain technology and general electronic data
3. Judicial determination of blockchain subject qualification
4. Research on the mutual trust issues of nodes in private and proprietary blockchains
5. Research on the authenticity of electronic credentials within the node
6. Research on the judicial effectiveness and business of blockchain third-party endorsement

With the development of blockchain technology, people have begun to realize the characteristics of blockchain technology in record keeping, such as "immutability", and related applications such as notarization and copyright protection have also emerged. However, blockchain technology is a brand new application after all, and how to introduce electronic certificates recorded on the blockchain into the existing judicial system is closely related to the further application of blockchain.

We believe that if blockchain technology is to be implemented in practice, it cannot remain in general talk. It can only be realized by developing basic technologies and theories closely related to blockchain. In view of this, Wanxiang Blockchain Lab decided to provide a sponsorship of US$6,500 for this project to encourage and support the research of the project and contribute to the practical application of blockchain technology in the future.
