Coinify and iSignthis Partner to Provide Compliant KYC Services for Blockchain Payment Methods

Blockchain currency payment provider Coinify has partnered with remote identification and payment verification service provider iSignthis Ltd. to offer a new service that connects blockchain payments, identity verification and credit cards.

The two companies claim this is the first time that anti-money laundering regulations have been met by linking user identities to transactions.

iSignthis can provide a secure, convenient process that protects customer privacy and complies with anti-money laundering regulations.

Verify payment card ownership

The service also verifies payment card ownership to prevent mobile wallet fraud and can be extended to electronic Know Your Customer (KYC) in more than 200 countries around the world.

Coinify CEO and co-founder Mark Højgaard said:

“As part of the partnership, Coinify will begin accepting VISA and MasterCard credit cards issued outside of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), including those that do not support the 3D Secure protocol, an additional layer of security for online credit card transactions.”

Multiple benefits

Coinify CTO Hamed Sattari :

“Using the iSignthis service, we get stronger customer verification and a smooth KYC procedure. This provides us with a security token that can be used for instant purchases with extended security and a PIN code.”

Coinify supports processing 17 blockchain virtual currencies, and the company is also the only blockchain currency company to cooperate with iSignthis. iSignthis CEO NJKarantzis said:

“Coinify has a solid understanding of KYC requirements, bringing digital currencies to the industry and employing the highest standards and effective anti-money laundering procedures.”

Serving the world

In terms of accessibility and usability, Højgaard said his company can offer a much more robust product.

“I can see a lot of opportunities in expanding transaction services beyond SEPA, which means payment processing and platform transaction services are already global.”

Coinify also recently partnered with Hong Kong payment service IPayDNA to provide blockchain payment methods for Asian merchants, using 17 blockchain-based digital currencies.
