34 companies announced cooperation to establish Japan's first blockchain industry organization - Blockchain Cooperation Consortium (BCCC)

34 companies recently announced the establishment of the Blockchain Cooperation Consortium (BCCC), which aims to educate the public about the development and investment of blockchain technology. This is the first blockchain industry organization in Japan and marks a milestone for blockchain technology in Japan.

Blockchain Partnership in Japan

BCCC Chairman Yoichiro Hirano from Infoteria held a press conference on April 25 to announce the official establishment of BCCC.

“Blockchain technology is not only the heart of financial technology, but can also make great contributions to various industries. Before the establishment of BCCC, knowledge and achievements about blockchain in Japan were not shared, so the application of blockchain was limited. Therefore, those of us who believe in the future of blockchain work hard to help Japan remain competitive in the blockchain industry and contribute to the development of blockchain technology through information sharing.”

As one would expect from such an alliance, the primary purpose is to collaborate and establish new partnerships between the participants. The Blockchain Collaboration Alliance is made up of 34 different companies. They will all play their part in educating people about blockchain technology in the coming years.

These companies include some very well-known companies such as ConsenSys, BASE, Infoteria Enterprises, and Tech Bureau. All of these companies have gained a vested interest in blockchain technology in the past few years. Some of them are actively working on new solutions to bring blockchain technology to mainstream users.

Most people think of blockchain as a valuable tool for the financial technology industry and the “machine” that drives the Bitcoin network. However, blockchain technology can also be used in various other industries, such as the evolution of IT systems. However, there is a need for a lot of blockchain education to promote the benefits of blockchain, which is one of the reasons for the creation of this blockchain partnership.

The blockchain alliance is currently registered as a voluntary organization, but they plan to become a legal entity by the end of 2016. The first board meeting is planned to be held in mid-May, and the first general meeting will be held in late June. At the same time, some subcommittees will be established to ensure that the relevant companies can play their role.
