Siacoin Mining Tutorial

On June 28, Sia version 1.0 will be officially released. By then, users can use a complete client to store files or provide storage space. As the release date approaches, the demand for Siacoin is gradually increasing. According to Sia Explorer data, the computing power of Siacoin mining using graphics cards has doubled in the past two weeks.

Next, let's take a look at how Siacoin is mined. Note: Since the latest official Sia version 0.6 does not have a graphical interface client, this article uses the 0.5.2 Windows client for demonstration. Sia version 1.0 will be officially released on the 28th of this month.

1. Download the official Sia client version 0.5.2 from: https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia-UI/releases

2. Open the client and click to enter the Wallet interface.

3. In the upper right corner of the Wallet interface, click Create New Wallet and record your wallet private key. Make sure the private key is stored in a safe place. You will need the private key below each time you open your wallet.

4. Download Sia Miner mining tool, download address: https://github.com/droghio/Sia-GPU-Miner/releases/tag/1.0.5

5. Make sure your wallet is unlocked and double-click the mining software until you see the hashrate value.

6. If Siacoin is mined, the coin will automatically appear in the opened wallet. Users can register an account on Yunbi.com and choose to create a recharge address for transactions.

Special Notes:

1. The Siacoin Miner client currently only supports Windows and Linux systems.

2.Siacoin currently only supports Solo mining and has no mining pool.

3. The estimated mining power using mainstream graphics cards is:

AMD 7970 graphics card, estimated power 700MH/s. Nvidia GTX 970 graphics card, estimated power 1000MH/s.
