Microsoft attends and sponsors Ethereum's Devcon2 developer conference

Microsoft has decided to sponsor and attend Devcon2 , the Ethereum developer conference that will be held in Shanghai this year. Vitalik Buterin (founder of Ethereum) welcomed Microsoft’s support and expressed his willingness to work together in the future.

Devcon , the first developer conference of Ethereum, has received a new sponsor. Microsoft, a multinational IT company, announced that it will directly participate in the event. Devcon2 is the next developer and community conference of Ethereum, which will be held in Shanghai, China from September 19th to 21st .

According to George Hallam (Ethereum Foundation’s external affairs officer), Devcon2 will showcase the latest research and development work supported by the Foundation, which represents the broad interest of the Ethereum Developer Conference. Developer and co-founder Vitalik Buterin gave a thank you speech:

“ We are very pleased that Microsoft has sponsored Devcon2 and appreciate their continued support and collaboration with the Ethereum Foundation and Ethereum. We look forward to working together in the future. ”

Devcon2 is a big event

Devcon2 will bring together representatives from all walks of life, developers, and community members from all over the world. Microsoft decided to provide a cloud infrastructure for blockchain services ( Baas ) released on September 9 , 2015 .

Microsoft will be presenting its blockchain solutions as a service at Devcon2 . Marley Gray , Microsoft’s head of blockchain and distributed ledger business development, said:

“ We are excited to sponsor the Ethereum Foundation’s Devcon2 conference, which will bring together blockchain pioneers from around the world. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Ethereum community and working together to bring the best of blockchain technology to our cloud platform , Microsoft Azure.”

Microsoft has also sponsored Devcon in the past , which was held in London last November , when the price of Ethereum was between $ 1 and $ 0.7 . All in all, this summit will bring great value to the Ethereum system, which may be a key opportunity for the further development of the Ethereum platform.
