Blockchain attracts strong interest from international giant Siemens

Bitcoin Home News June 29 CoinDesk News   Siemens, a global giant in the field of electronic and electrical engineering, plans to provide $ 1.1 billion in support for blockchain startups and projects through a newly established unit.

On June 28 , Siemens announced that in the next five years the company's focus will shift to artificial intelligence, next-generation propulsion systems for small aircraft, and decentralized electronics.

Siemens said in a statement:

The new business unit will also focus on so-called blockchain applications that aim to make data transmission in industrial and energy transactions easier and more secure, for example.

The new business unit is called "next47" and will be dedicated to developing markets in China, the United States and Germany.
