Russian media: Bitcoin exchange appears in Moscow

Bitcoin has been resisted by the Russian government in the past few years. The Russian government even proposed that Bitcoin issuers should be sentenced to up to 7 years in prison. However, in recent years, the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, and other government departments have given more support to cryptocurrencies.

According to Forklog magazine, a fixed exchange point for cryptocurrencies has emerged in Moscow.

It is worth noting that the only exchange in Russia was established by LocalBitcoins group activists. It is located in the Moscow Book House in Novy Arbat.

Currently, the exchange supports the sale of Bitcoin in cash and non-cash forms. Activists also confirmed that the exchange points can work 24 hours a day.

In the future project organizers plan to take steps to legalize the exchange.
