CommunityStart discussions and ask questions, choose forums wisely, and help us keep the forums clean. The Ethereum subreddit is the most comprehensive Ethereum forum. This is where most community discussions happen and where the core developers are most active. If you want general discussions about news, media, reports, announcements, brainstorming, this is the forum to go for. Generally speaking, everything Ethereum related to the wider community is here. Discussions are completely free. However, this forum is not suitable for seeking practical help or getting quick and clear answers (if you need these two things, use Gitter Rooms and Stack Exchange respectively) Please read the Ethereum reddit branch rules before posting More professional Reddit branches:
Stack ExchangeEthereum Stack Exchange is part of the StackExchange online Q&A community. StackExchange is a free Q&A site where all questions and answers are saved for posterity. This site is best for asking technical questions. You can help fellow Ethereum users and increase your reputation by answering questions. Gitter RoomsFor daily chat, you can choose Gitter. This is a virtual common workspace for developers, where you can quickly get help and some support if you need it. Gitter uses Github accounts and provides Github integration (pull request notifications, etc.), personal channels, Markdown formatting, etc. Most Gitter channels are organized around specific repositories or general topics like research management. Please choose the appropriate room and keep the discussion topic relevant. See the full list of gitter rooms related to the Ethereum organization. Here is a list of active public channels:
Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs)The Ethereum Improvement Protocol (EIP) program is intended to be a framework and informal business process for coordinating improvements to the protocol. People first propose ideas to the EIP repository as an issue or pull request. After basic filtering, proposals receive a number and are published as drafts. The EIP must be agreed upon by the community before it can become active. Proposed changes should be made with the understanding that final approval depends on the consensus of Ethereum users. For discussion of the EIP, go to the EIP gitter channel.

Revocation StatementSkype Some community discussions still use skype rooms, but we want to move away from that and encourage people to use gitter or slack. Ethereum ForumStephan Tual's famous Ethereum forum is no longer maintained and may be decommissioned soon. We encourage everyone to use the recommended options listed above.
