DECENT Roadmap Overview

How can we make the idea of ​​a completely decentralized and independent media publishing system a reality? Perhaps we can get some clues from DECENT's future plans. Recently, the DECEN network development plan and roadmap have been announced, and the plan for the entire project includes many years of innovation. From the roadmap, the DECENT team does not want to just build an ordinary blockchain application, but hopes to make DECENT a widely used technology that can meet personal daily use and also serve a wider range of content publishing platforms.

DECENT plans to build multiple applications on the protocol, which will serve as the early infrastructure of the DECENT network.

To help the DECENT network grow, the DECENT team plans to provide support for protocol implementation to application developers. In addition, they also plan to create a hardware solution, a plug-and-play USBHDMI device that will allow any smart TV to connect to the DECENT network.

Milestone 1: DECENT-Core

As mentioned in the DECENT roadmap, the first milestone in the development of the DECENT network is the launch of the mainnet or DECENT-Core. After the DECENT ICO, the DECENT core network will be written in C++. DECENT will handle all the basic functions displayed in the DECENT prototype and test network to ensure the highest level of trust and security. DECENT is scheduled to be launched in the first or second quarter of 2017. DTC trading will be enabled after the launch. Milestone 2: DECENT Application

After DECENT launches, the DECENT team will focus on improving multiple GUIs of DECENT-Core and building a batch of applications on top of DECENT-Core. One of the main goals of the DECENT team is to support projects that strengthen the DECENT ecosystem. The DECENT team will provide assistance to application developers to broaden the network infrastructure. Milestone 3: DECENT Applications

With the initial success of DECENT, multiple applications and extensions of DECENT Life will be added to the network ecosystem. DECENT-Core's integration with current e-book platforms, software app stores, music markets, smart TVs, password managers, etc. will require the creation of a hub where users can easily download applications to their devices.

Making DECENT streaming HW devices is a long-term plan of DECNTT. Using USB HDMI devices, any smart TV can be directly connected to the DECENT network. Based on this feature, DECENT users can watch their favorite content through a stable and secure network and even get paid.
DECENT's USB HDMI devices will be sold online and offline through a network of dealers.
