Rage Review : The Linux Hyperledger project has elected a new Technical Steering Committee (TSC). The voting platform Condorcet-IRV created by Cornell University was used in this election. A new TSC chairman will be selected after the election. The Hyperledger project, which has more than 40 well-known companies and startups, has been committed to researching and promoting open source projects for blockchain digital technology and transaction verification. The Hyperledger project, which has been in existence since late last year and counts more than 40 prominent companies and startups as members, concluded its institutional voting earlier this week after announcing an election period. Retaining seats on the committee are Richard Gendal Brown, COO of R3CEV; Tamas Blummer, chief ledger architect at Digital Asset Holdings; Hart Montgomery, a researcher at Fujitsu; Mic Bowman, an engineer at Intel; and Christopher Ferris, COO of IBM Open Technology, who is the committee’s first chair. New members also include Arnaud Le Hors, chief technology officer at IBM; Binh Nguyen, chief architect of IBM blockchain fabric; Dan Middleton, head of risk technology at Intel; Greg Haskins, chief architect at the London Stock Exchange; Murali Krishna Katipalli, senior enterprise architect at DTCC; and Sheehan Anderson, software engineer at Salesforce. With the elections now concluded, the work now turns to electing a new TSC Chair, with the nomination process opening yesterday and running until August 31. Voting begins on September 1, with results expected to be announced a week later, on September 8. As with previous votes, the TSC chair election will use Condorcet-IRV, a voting platform created at Cornell University. |
