Previously, we reported that the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance has created a blockchain talent training program and will offer blockchain courses. Now, the Wall The Wall Street Blockchain Alliance’s use of distributed ledger technology is fully consistent with its goal of promoting the adoption of this technology in financial markets. Blockchain Think TankWCF is the core think tank of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance (WSBA), dedicated to planning, creating and delivering the potential of blockchain technology in the financial market field. This dual adoption of blockchain technology will allow candidates to prepare for the WCF exam online. This preparation will give candidates confidence that the test preparation content is truly set by the exam body. It will also ensure candidates that the certificate issued is tamper-proof and authenticated. The project, which is expected to achieve national recognition, will support the work of the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance to formalize a relationship with the New York-based nonprofit 501(c)(6) trade association. This work has already begun with international peer organizations. Targeting real-life applications of blockchainAndrew Kasaija, managing partner at Positrust and strategic partner of the Wall Street Blockchain Consortium, which manages WCF, said:
Given the relative immaturity of the technology stack, the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance is finding a few use cases that make sense, while other widely reported use cases are better served by simple cloud-based database solutions. Through WCF, the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance seeks to develop the capabilities of industry talent, and alliance member companies can obtain tangible returns on investment. Blockchain verification of exam prep and credentials will begin in the United States in the coming weeks and will expand to the Asia-Pacific region later. Course registration startsFollowing the successful launch this summer, the fall Proof of Concept WCF course has begun and is now open for registration at www.wcf-poc.com. A total of 6 courses, including WCF, have received great results. The fall class started on September 8th at RISE, an infrastructure partner in New York. The winter session will include more courses, covering areas such as blockchain-as-a-service solutions, APP development tools, regulation, cybersecurity, business analyst demand planning, and more. As the Wall Street Blockchain Alliance members determine course requirements, multiple collaborations are expected to be formed in 2017 to ensure that the industry talent capabilities developed meet market demand. The WCF course content will be continuously updated to reflect distributed ledgers and supporting technology development. Because this connection is technology agnostic, cultivating multi-skilled talents across industries will always be a difficult task. WCF will provide applicants with an opportunity to explore, examine and develop the potential of blockchain technology in the financial services industry. |
