Recently, the 8-31-P22 well in the south of the West Work Area of ​​the Third Operation Area of ​​the Second Oil Production Plant was haunted. The wellhead current was originally stable, but it suddenly increased a lot in the past two days. The employees checked the well several times but could not find the cause. As the saying goes, "no disease, no death", there must be a problem here. On the afternoon of October 10, the power management personnel of the operation area and the security team came to the scene together to expand the inspection scope of the surrounding area. But the surrounding environment is relatively simple. Apart from a scrap collection station, there are no units or factories. Why is the power consumption so high?

The inspectors once again conducted a detailed inspection of the surrounding area. When they arrived at the purchasing station for inspection, they found an inconspicuous passage behind the purchasing station and an inconspicuous iron house in the backyard, with a "buzzing" sound coming from inside. Looking inside through the gap in the iron sheet, the inspectors found that on rows of iron shelves, there were computer-like things placed one after another, running. These machines were "Bitcoin" machines.

The inspectors immediately reported the case to the Babaigang Public Security Bureau. The Criminal Investigation Team 5 of the Babaigang Public Security Bureau rushed to the scene and confirmed that a total of 160 "Bitcoin" machines were confiscated. The power supply required was privately connected from the well of South 8-31-P22. The police sealed the scene and confiscated all the machines. The case is under investigation.

It is understood that since April, cases of stealing electricity from oil fields using "Bitcoin" machines have occurred frequently in our city.

On April 29, the Yushulin Oilfield Electricity Management Branch discovered abnormal power consumption at two oil wells during electricity statistics. The Oilfield Security Branch and the Oilfield Branch of the Zhaodong Public Security Bureau jointly dispatched police. Based on the direction of the cables, they seized 130 bitcoin machines in a private house 300 meters away from the well site.

In May, the Oilfield Security Department launched an operation to crack down on the theft of oilfield electricity. In just over half a month, the security brigade of the No. 8 Oil Production Plant cleared 7 "Bitcoin" power theft sites and confiscated 234 "Bitcoin" mining machines. Since the operation began, a total of 12 "Bitcoin" sites have been seized and more than 1,200 "Bitcoin" power theft devices have been confiscated.

Most of these illegal power-production sites for oil well theft are located in remote villages, idle factories, houses, or places with oil fields nearby. They take advantage of the fact that people don't understand "Bitcoin" and lie about opening a factory to cover up their own problems.
