WINGS and RSK Labs Enter into Technical Partnership to Advance Bitcoin DAO Development

WINGS will use RSK ’s open-source platform as the runtime network for the smart contract security layer for DAOs and DAO project funds

(Zug, Switzerland, November 16, 2016) – WINGS Foundation, a decentralized DAO creation and management platform, and RootStock, a smart contract platform, today announced a partnership to bring the first generation of DAOs to Bitcoin. The technical partnership will provide WINGS with access to RSK’s platform, and the former will join a consortium of over 25 well-known Bitcoin companies to gain access to the runtime environment and federated security for WINGS and WINGS’ DAO projects.

RSK is the first open source smart contract platform with a Bitcoin 2-way peg, and rewards Bitcoin miners through merged mining, allowing them to actively participate in the smart contract revolution. RSK adds value and functionality to Bitcoin while also creating the most robust and secure smart contract platform in the ecosystem. RSK uses the two most successful blockchain platforms - Bitcoin and Ethereum - to add more capabilities to smart contracts.
