Cryptocurrency experts unite to drive Nigeria’s blockchain revolution

Nigerian experts from various fields of science and technology have joined forces to promote the crypto industry in the African country.

As all walks of life pay more and more attention to blockchain and its application areas continue to expand, Nigeria, the world's largest black country, has also chosen to follow the trend.

What is CryptoNigerian?

Adeolu Fadele, founder and president of the Cryptography Development Initiative of Nigeria (CDIN), told Cointelegraph that his dream is for every citizen to become a CryptoNigerian.

Fadele defines CryptoNigerian as follows:

“A CryptoNigerian is a Nigerian who has sufficient knowledge in the innovative techniques of cryptography and coding to provide inspiring and professional guidance to others.”

Eagerly awaited

Obiora Awogu, forensic analyst at UBA GROUP, said his goal and intention in joining CDIN is to learn, exchange and share knowledge on cryptocurrency and blockchain.

Awogu is also a cybersecurity expert and cryptocurrency enthusiast.

Another member of CDIN, Jerry Ojo, is a solutions developer working with the Central Bank of Nigeria and a technology expert.

“I see CDIN as a pioneer in the development of cryptocurrency in Africa. I will contribute in research, e-commerce and entrepreneurial opportunities, solution development, etc.”

Ojo believes that CDIN is an innovative initiative that will have an impact in Africa and elsewhere.

John Blessing Bamigbegbin is a genetic identification expert. Bamigbegbin said he hopes CDIN will become a pioneer organization in Nigeria that can provide education and effective information about cryptocurrencies and encryption systems. This will hopefully promote economic development and strengthen the country's cybersecurity.

Weekly meetings

Huobi Blockchain Research Center learned that CryptoNigeria has started holding weekly meetings, providing both online and offline participation methods. As many participants are spread across cities across the country, more and more offline conference centers are being set up across the country.

CDIN’s partners include Bitnation, Nexxus University, the International Cryptologic Research Association, and others.
