Fermat announces alpha version of blockchain open source project

Fermat's decentralized open source project "Internet of People" (IoP) is designed to provide device-to-device communication independent of any network server. Founded in April 2016, it recently released an alpha version - Profile Server, which is known as the cornerstone of the IoP system. Users can discover each other's profiles and create direct device-to-device connections. Recently, Swiss consulting firm Heimdall PE Partners AG, Lyons Communications founder Tom Lyons, Iprotus CEO and co-founder Soren Fog, and Never Stop Marketing Director Jeremy Epstein have all joined the project.

Fermat has upgraded the decentralized open source project "Internet of People" (IoP), which aims to provide device-to-device communication independent of any network server.

Since its founding in April 2016, Fermat has added 60 national and regional mining districts to mine IoP tokens in a decentralized manner. Each mining district manager is responsible for supporting community projects, running test network nodes, organizing meetups, marketing, and token mining. Each mining district runs a mining node and is rewarded with IoP tokens.

Fermat also built and implemented the IoP blockchain and distributed mining software as well as the IoP wallet.

Fermat's recently released alpha version, Profile Server, is described as the cornerstone of the IoP system. Users can discover each other's profiles and create direct device-to-device connections.

Luis Molina

IoP was created by founder Luis Molina.

“Completing the Profile Server development is a major milestone for the project and is an essential component of the Fermat infrastructure. It combined with our Location Based Network (LOC NET) and Contact Address Network puts us on track to achieve all of our development goals for 2017.”

Fermat said the system provides geolocation services to entrepreneurs who develop applications based on the IoP, which is based on the 'location-based network.' In the future, services based on the Fermat stack can work with LOC NET nodes.

Recent partners to join the project include Swiss consulting firm Heimdall PE Partners AG, Lyons Communications founder Tom Lyons, iprotus CEO and co-founder Soren Fog, and Never Stop marketing director Jeremy Epstein.
