Ukraine will popularize Bitcoin and Dash payments, with merchant coverage reaching 80%

A project to expand Bitcoin and Dash payments in Ukraine’s retail sector has received more than $20,000 in funding.

The project, which has not yet been officially named but is a proposal for the Dash Central Platform, has received funding of 255个达世币(worth $21,500) and has established cooperation with backend clients to enable consumer payments.

When mentioning the details of the project, the developers pointed out that it is necessary to provide another option for Ukrainian merchants, and payment providers such as Bitpay are not suitable for the local economic conditions.

The developer wrote:

The problem is that the fiat currencies they support are limited. Yes, they do support USD and EUR, but there are many different fiat currencies in the world.

The food and restaurant sectors are among the first to participate in the project, with two restaurant chains already taking the lead in trials.

The local Ukrainian exchange Forksale is currently developing an API. Once it is put into use, transactions will be completed instantly, even if the transaction does not use the Dash Instant Send function.

It is reported that after gaining general approval, the next stage is to cooperate with Profit Solutions, a Ukrainian merchant payment processor, which controls about 80% of the country's active terminals.

This means that the catering industry is just the tip of the iceberg. The impact of this solution is very large, and Dash Network can profit from it because it adds a lot of Dash's exclusive features.

The project is making steady progress and will have a working product in three months.
