Exclusive: Local authorities urgently investigate ICO risks, 60 platforms are included in the investigation list

The 21st Century Business Herald has exclusively learned from an authoritative source close to the regulator that recently, in response to the "Notice on Cleaning Up and Rectifying Token Issuance and Financing" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice") issued by the National Internet Finance Risk Regulation Office (National Internet Finance Regulation Office), the Office of the Leading Group for the Special Regulation of Internet Finance Risks in Fujian Province forwarded the document in the form of an urgent document.

On the evening of September 3, several blockchain company executives confirmed that they had received the spirit of the above-mentioned "Notice". "ICO platforms will basically suspend their business and report their existing business to local regulatory authorities as soon as possible." In this regard, a blockchain business executive of a large Internet company said.

According to the requirements of the "Notice", the National Internet Finance Regulatory Office has initially provided a list of token issuance platforms, and requires local regulatory offices to further organize detailed investigations on this basis to ensure that no token platforms are missed. Places where no token platforms are found should also implement "zero reporting."

It is reported that there are 60 such token issuance platforms in total. Among them, among the platforms that have confirmed their operating locations, Beijing and Shanghai have 6 and 8 respectively, and Guangdong leads with 12.
