Experts warn that Bitcoin is an extremely risky investment

In a LendEDU survey last month, almost 80% of Americans have heard of Bitcoin, and half are unsure whether it is legal.
In response, Dunston, founder of Dunston Financial Group, said people shouldn't invest in things they don't understand.
He has been studying Bitcoin for several months, but still has not been able to fully understand the system.
Dunston said that Bitcoin is still immature, so there is not much historical performance to refer to.
For example, Bitcoin fell 20% in September after the Chinese government banned it.
Bitcoin is not regulated by the government and buyers and sellers can be anonymous, which is why it is often exploited by hackers.
Dunston pointed out that there are very high risks involved, which could make speculators rich overnight or lose everything.
However, Christian Catalini, a virtual currency researcher at MIT, said that the fluctuations of virtual currencies will become rational as the economic system matures.
He believes that investing in Bitcoin now is like investing in a startup, and most people will lose everything.
Aswath Damodaran, a finance professor at New York University's Stern School of Business, pointed out that Bitcoin has not yet been widely accepted and therefore has no intrinsic value.
