Last September, British billionaire Douglas Barrowman and his girlfriend, "lingerie queen" Michelle Mone, partnered to launch a real estate project worth 250 million pounds (about 2.13 billion yuan) in Dubai.

This is the first residential project in the world to accept Bitcoin payments, and therefore attracted worldwide attention.

As of February this year, the first batch of 50 "Bitcoin Apartments" were all sold.

Barrowman said they selected 50 of the 1,300 luxury apartments and marked their prices with the digital currency Bitcoin. "After the launch, these apartments were snapped up, many people bought two at a time, and one buyer even bought 10 at once."
