Using mining to save employment rate, 30 cities in India will start Bitcoin mining training

An Indian chamber of commerce has launched a Bitcoin mining training program in 30 cities in the country. Its goal is to spread knowledge about Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency mining, and entrepreneurship to young people, thereby improving the ability of rural populations to find self-employment.

According to local media reports, DICCI has partnered with social entrepreneur and Indian Overseas Democratic Party treasurer Dr. Tausif Malik to conduct Bitcoin mining training activities in 30 cities in India.

DICCI was founded in 2005 as an industry association to provide business services to Dalits, a minority caste sometimes referred to as an "oppressed class" in India that make up 32% of the population in some states, according to the 2011 census.

Malik founded Mahabfic, a platform to promote investments in blockchain, fintech, ICOs, and cryptocurrencies in Maharashtra. The platform’s website states:

Our aim is not to promote technology but to make Maharashtra an ideal destination for technology investments.

DICCI and Mahabfic will create the "world's first and largest self-employment-based Bitcoin Mining Training Program (BMTP)". The project aims to "provide a source of income for rural people engaged in agricultural labor, especially young people, so that they can work in their hometowns or villages and create new economic development opportunities." DICCI Chairman Shri Milind Kamble said:

Blockchain technology is the future trend of technological development, and this storm has swept the world. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining is a necessary condition for the operation of blockchain platforms. Therefore, we believe that it is necessary to launch a mining training program for young people across the country to help them find self-employment.

The program will allow students to learn about blockchain technology, bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining, entrepreneurship, and the establishment of startups and businesses. The first training event will be held in May. Malik said:

India can become the next world-class mining hub for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
