Halong Mining, a new mining company, received a great deal of support from Samsung, and its 10nm ASIC chip has been exposed

Samsung is producing ASIC chips for mining hardware manufacturer Halong Mining.

MyRig, an online mining equipment retailer, tweeted a circular semiconductor wafer used to make integrated circuits. The company said the 10nm product was made by electronics giant Samsung.

Samsung began producing ASIC chips for bitcoin mining machines last year for an unnamed company. At the time, Samsung was tight-lipped about the company, only revealing that it was a Chinese company.

Halong is a little-known mining machine manufacturer. The company's first mining machine, Dragonmint T1, was officially launched last year and has been shipped to customers recently. Bitcoin Core developer BTCDrak also participated in this project.

Currently, the DragonMint T1 is the most efficient miner on the market, even surpassing Bitmain’s Antminer S9 in terms of performance. Last month, Slush Pool confirmed that someone mined the first block in the pool using Halong’s miners, and they achieved extremely high efficiency through the AsicBoost technology upgrade.

However, Bitcoin.org and BitcoinTalk owner Cobra has repeatedly stated that he believes Halong Mining is a scam, saying that the Dragonmint T1 was actually manufactured by Innosilicon and was later branded as Halong.

Regardless, if Samsung is indeed supplying chips to Halong, they could help the company undermine Bitmain’s dominance in the ASIC market, as Samsung is well-positioned to scale up ASIC chip production to meet consumer demand.
