Decred (DCR) Mining Tutorial (Graphics Card and ASIC Miner)

1. Get the wallet address

As with all other cryptocurrency mining processes, you first need to have a wallet address to receive DCR mining income. You can obtain it through the following ways:

2. Obtain mining software

DCR can be mined using graphics cards and ASIC miners.

When mining with a graphics card, you need to use mining software, which can be obtained through the following link:

(It is recommended to download the official recommended software and refer to the tutorial for configuration of mining parameters)

3. Set the parameters in the mining software and start mining

1) GPU mining

DCR already has ASIC mining machines, and the computing power is 20-50 times that of graphics card mining machines. The income from graphics card mining is not high. If you are interested, you can refer to the following graphics card mining method.

a) Nvidia card single mining

Download the N card mining software, unzip the file, find the "start.bat" file, right-click "start.bat" and select Edit. The parameter settings are as follows:

ccminer:

ccminer -a decred -o stratum+tcp://dcr.f2pool.com:5730 -u wallet address.miner number -px

gominer:

gominer -o stratum+tcp://dcr.f2pool.com:5730 -m wallet address.miner number -nx

As shown in the following figure:

Refer to the above example to determine the DCR mining pool address, and set the miner's own DCR coin address and miner number. If there are multiple machines, the miner number is used to distinguish different machines, so don't miss that point. When modifying, only change the corresponding characters, and do not delete spaces or punctuation. Click Save after the modification is completed.

Note: The DCR GPU mining pool address is: dcr.f2pool.com:5730

After setting the mining parameters, save the "start.bat" file, double-click it to run, and start mining.

b) Single mining with card A

After obtaining the mining software, decompress the mining software, find the "start.bat" file, right-click it, and select "Edit". The parameter settings are as follows:

gominer:

gominer -o stratum+tcp://dcr.f2pool.com:5730 -m wallet address.miner number -nx

Refer to the above example, confirm the mining pool link, modify the wallet address, save and run the "start.bat" file to start mining.

c) Dual mining (ETH+DCR)

You can mine DCR while mining ETH or ETC with your mining machine.

After obtaining the mining software, select "start-Dual mining DCR", right-click, select Edit, and set the parameters as follows:

ETH+DCR dual mining:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth.f2pool.com:8008 -ewal Ethereum wallet address -epsw x -eworker worker number -estale 0 -dpool dcr.f2pool.com:5730 -dwal DCR wallet address . Worker number -dpsw x -dcri 30

ETC+DCR dual mining:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool etc.f2pool.com:8118 -ewal Ethereum Classic wallet address -epsw x -eworker worker number -estale 0 -dpool dcr.f2pool.com:5730 -dwal DCR wallet address . Worker number -dpsw x -dcri 30

As shown in the following figure:

Refer to the above example, confirm the mining pool link, change the wallet address, and after the settings are completed, save and run the "start-Dual Mining DCR" file to start dual mining.

2) ASIC Miners

The market has launched an ASIC miner that supports DCR - Baikal miner (miner official website link: https://www.baikalminer.com/product09.php), and its DCR algorithm computing power is dozens of times that of a single graphics card miner. The setting method is relatively simple, and the following is a brief introduction:

a) Machine Installation

First, you need to prepare 1 network cable, 6 * 12V_6pin power interface

b) Enter the mining machine management backend

Similar to other ASIC miners, after the machine is connected to the network and powered on, find the corresponding IP of the machine from your router or Baikal's IP search software (https://pan.baidu.com/s/1i7KB3b03u2IcoCqZmHGrIA).

After confirming the mining machine IP, enter the mining machine IP from the browser and jump to the following interface:

The password is lowercase "baikal". After entering the password, you will be redirected to the following interface:

Click "Miner" to enter the mining pool settings interface:

1) The factory default dash mining pool and 3 smart pools.

2) Mining pool address.

3) Choose your algorithm.

4) Wallet address (username).

5) Password (usually set to X, unless the user sets a password).

6) Extranonce optimization (can optimize your mining efficiency)

• Not all mining pools support this feature, this needs to be confirmed by the user (supported ones include nicehash, zpool, etc.)

• Check this function button to activate the function. If the selected mining pool does not support it, just leave it blank.

• To confirm whether the mining pool supports this function, users need to contact the mining pool administrator

  
  

  c) Set mining parameters

  
  

  In the miner interface, in the Pools area, set the parameters as follows:

  URL , which is the DCR mining pool address of F2Pool: stratum+tcp://dcr.f2pool.com:5730

  Algo , which is the algorithm, select the algorithm corresponding to DCR: decred

  User is the user name. To mine DCR in F2Pool, fill in the user as: DCR wallet address. Miner number (such as: DsUwCypjp9kpgzpz5dWhdewoXHYLNCHNqWQ.123)

  Pass , fill in: x

  Extranonce , uncheck

  Priority , select the highest priority and fill in: 0

  
  

After the settings are completed, select reload pools, the new mining pool is added successfully, and DCR mining begins. You can now return to the home page to check the mining machine's computing power.

4. Mining machine monitoring and revenue viewing methods

To check the operating status and daily income of the DCR mining machine, you can visit the official website of F2Pool (https://www.f2pool.com).

Enter the DCR address for mining in the search box on the page and click View. You can view the mining machine status and revenue.
