Bitmain's ANTBOX is the latest practical mobile mining farm independently developed by Bitmain. Released in March this year, ANTBOX can accommodate up to 324 S9 mining machines. It was born in response to the global miners' demand for mobile low-power mining farms. It improves the convenience of mining while greatly reducing the time and cost of building mining farms.
This Caiyun Bit evaluation is divided into two parts: single-unit test and mining field test, which will show you the use of ANTBOX in a more comprehensive way.
1. Basic parameters
The standard model of ANTBOX looks like a 20-foot container and is made of new high-strength steel. The dimensions are 5.85 meters long, 2.3 meters wide, and 3.07 meters high, and weighs about three tons.
The exterior is painted to prevent moisture and corrosion.
There are mounting holes on all four pillars for easy transportation and installation.
There is a LOGO on the front of ANTBOX. The two doors in the middle and lower parts are equipped with smart access locks, which can be entered by key or card.
ANTBOX has floor-to-ceiling blinds on both sides. The leaves are made of thick steel and the angle can be freely adjusted by an automatic hydraulic pump.
Close to the blinds is a protective net, which is mainly composed of wire mesh, plastic net, and dust-proof fiber net. It can allow air to circulate quickly and has a dust-proof effect.

Inside the ANTBOX, there is a mining rack on the left and a power control box on the right.
The mining racks are fixed in three rows, each with 9 layers. Each layer is equipped with an independent air switch for safety protection. Each layer has 12 mining machine positions and corresponding mining machine power positions, as well as matching power cables, network cables, and network switches. One ANTBOX can hold a total of 324 mining machines.

The insulating floor inside ANTBOX is about 3cm thick.
ANTBOX adopts a design scheme that opens windows on the left and right sides and is closed up and down and front and back to form an air duct. Water curtain equipment is installed on the side to reduce the temperature of the air inlet. Although the structure is compact, the heat dissipation effect will be better than that of traditional mines with exhaust fans.
In addition, ANTBOX provides flexible assembly and customization solutions to suit different needs of different venues.
The ANTBOX in Shenzhen for this evaluation was placed outdoors. It experienced wind and rain, and an on-site inspection showed that the equipment inside was in good condition.

2. Installation and Use
ANTBOX needs to meet three requirements before placement, namely ground load-bearing capacity, electricity, and space on both sides.
1. Taking the Ant S9 mining machine as an example, each mining machine weighs 4.1 kilograms, and each mining machine power supply weighs 2 kilograms. 324 mining machines weigh about two tons, and the placement site needs to bear a total weight of about five tons.
2. In terms of electricity, taking the Ant S9 mining machine as an example, the power of each mining machine is about 1400w, and each ANTBOX is equipped with 324 mining machines, which is about 500kw (including power loss).
3. Reserve space on both sides for air circulation, 16 meters for air inlet on the right and 10 meters for air outlet on the left.
It is very simple to set up the ANTBOX mining machine. First, connect the mining machine to the power supply.
Then put them on the shelves. Each shelf has 12 air outlets, corresponding to 12 mining machines. The mining machines are placed at the bottom with the power supply on the top, and then the network cable and power cord are plugged in.
Each layer of the ANTBOX mining rack is 26.5CM high, which is suitable for most models of Bitmain mining machines. The three mining machines shown in the figure below are of different specifications and can be easily placed.
ANTBOX provides remote mining cluster management software to facilitate remote monitoring and management of mining machines.
3. Field testing
The mine has two groups of ANTBOX clusters. The first group has two layers with a total of six standard ANTBOXs, and the second group has two layers with a total of eight standard ANTBOXs. The entire mine has a total of 14 standard ANTBOXs.
Each floor shares a door with a LOGO above the door and a safety sign below. There is a simple staircase leading to the second floor.
The side of the stairs is the air outlet of the mining machine. Looking through the blinds, you can see fully loaded mining machines of various models. 14 standard ANTBOXs can install a total of 4,536 mining machines.
The 4,536 mining machines only occupy an area of about 100 square meters, and the ventilation space reserved in the front and back makes it appear very spacious.
There is an observation port on the side of the door so that you can check the internal situation from outside the door.
The water curtain device on the back draws water from the water tank through a water pump, and the two sets of ANTBOX use two water curtains to return the water to the water tank.
The water in the return tank can be recycled, but it needs to be refilled regularly.

The internal temperature is about 19 degrees Celsius.
The screen above the power control box displays the power status of the three groups of racks. There are three control switches below the traffic light, one for backup and the other two for controlling the opening and closing of the shutters on both sides.

The temperature at the water curtain air inlet was measured to be approximately 15°C.
The temperature near the air inlet of the mining machine was measured at about 31°C.
The temperature near the air outlet of the mining machine was measured at about 42°C.
The internal noise is about 82dBa.
The air outlet noise is about 80dBa.
The noise level outside is about 76dBa at a distance of about 10 meters.

IV. Summary
1. The overall design of ANTBOX mobile mine is of high standard, integrating various advantages of long-term mine operation and fully considering the needs of miners.
2. In the field test, when the internal temperature was around 19°C, the water curtain was used to cool the machine, and the internal short air duct design allowed the air to circulate quickly. The inlet and outlet temperatures of the mining machine fan dropped significantly, which improved the stability of the mining machine operation.
3. The noise level is significantly lower than that of traditional mines, and is only 76dBa at about ten meters outside.
4. The whole production is made of brand new and high-quality raw materials, which are sturdy, beautiful and practical.
5. The internal structure is neat, with insulated floors, professional power control boxes and air switches on each floor to fully consider safety.
6. The installation is simple and quick. Users only need to prepare the installation site and power supply. The construction period is short and the installation site can be flexibly changed at any time, saving construction costs and electricity costs.
