A man stole 146 Bitcoin mining machines worth more than 1.18 million yuan and was sentenced to 11 years in prison

In May last year, Da Zhu and Xiao Zhu rented a factory of more than 100 square meters, bought a Bitcoin mining machine, and started a Bitcoin mining business. Later, a Hangzhou man named Zhang also joined the gang, but conflicts arose among them, and Zhang became mentally unbalanced.

In early November last year, Zhang Moumou found two men (handled in another case), provided them with accommodation, and gave them instructions on the scene, preparing to carry out the theft. The two men drove a truck, wearing clothes similar to those of logistics personnel, wearing masks, gloves, hats, etc., pried open the factory door, quickly dismantled 146 "mining machines", put them into cloth bags, moved them onto the truck, and fled the scene. According to appraisal, the Bitcoin "mining machines" involved in the case are worth more than 1.18 million yuan in total.

Recently, the court sentenced Zhang to 11 years in prison and a fine of 50,000 yuan for the crime of theft.
