AMD: APU processors for mining will be available soon

Joerg Roskowetz, AMD's blockchain technology director, mentioned in an interview with Japan's PCwatch website that the possibility of APU mining is limited to the bandwidth of DDR4 memory. Currently, APU mining has no advantage over graphics cards using GDDR5 video memory or even HBM 2 video memory.

He revealed that AMD is researching products that can put part of the computing on the APU processor (CPU side), and products that achieve this goal will appear in the near future.
