Russia’s largest cryptocurrency mining center to open in Leningrad region

Russia’s largest cryptocurrency mining center will open in the town of Kirishi in the Leningrad region on August 20, according to the local government press office, BitNovosti reported.

Last September, Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko spoke about plans to create a cryptocurrency mining tech park in Sosnovy Bor. The official confirmed the intention at the Sochi Investment Forum in February this year. As reported earlier, the local authorities are also working on building and implementing crypto legislation and sandbox projects for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies in the Leningrad region.
