Study: Cybercriminals are attacking digital currencies in more covert ways

According to Cryptovest, Trend Micro Incorporated, a global cybersecurity solutions provider, said in new research that cyber criminals are shifting their focus from ransomware attacks to more covert methods, whose purpose is still to steal money and valuable computing resources.

The study also showed that digital currency mining exploration increased by 96% in the first half of 2018 compared to the whole of 2017, and exploration increased by 956% over the whole of 2017.
