Tencent: "Beauty Scorpion" mining Trojan strikes again, using Windows system components to launch malicious scripts

Tencent Yujian Threat Intelligence Center recently discovered a new variant of the "Beauty Scorpion" mining Trojan, which has seen an increase in infections since September. This mining Trojan has some of the same features as the "Beauty Scorpion" mining Trojan, such as obtaining malicious code from downloaded images and mining multiple digital cryptocurrencies through multiple mining machines. It also has several new features. The "Beauty Scorpion" mining Trojan is mainly spread by hiding in some pirated, cracked, activated, game plug-in and other small tool software.
