Avalon 8 Series Machine Troubleshooting Tutorial - Machine Not Working

During use, it is inevitable that the device wires may become loose or damaged, causing the machine to malfunction. You can troubleshoot the problem yourself according to this tutorial. If the device is damaged and is within the warranty period, you can contact our after-sales staff for a quick repair, or purchase accessories for replacement according to the disassembly and assembly tutorial at the end of the tutorial.

Our mining machine products provide a 90-day warranty, starting from the day you receive the goods. The following circumstances will invalidate the warranty:

1. Any physical damage caused by self-disassembly or other reasons (including but not limited to: breakage, fragmentation, missing corners, missing components, etc.);

2. Damage caused by lightning strike, voltage surge, etc.;

3. The circuit board has burn marks or the chip is burned;

4. Damage caused by water ingress or immersion;

5. The circuit board is damp and corroded;

6. Expired warranty period.

If the above situation occurs, we can still provide paid repair services for your mining machine, or you can purchase parts for repair by yourself according to the instructions of this tutorial.

The machine does not work

There are many reasons that may cause the machine to not work. We will eliminate them one by one from accessories to the machine itself.

Let’s set it up first – now all machines are powered on and correctly connected to the controller, some machines are working properly ( green indicators flash alternately ), and some machines are not working under AUC ( yellow and green indicators are always on ).

1. Please check if the two ends of the 5Pin interconnection cable of the non-working machine are loose or not connected properly. If you are sure that it is connected properly but it still does not work, please check the 5Pin.

Is the interconnect cable broken? If so, please replace it with a new 5-pin interconnect cable.

2. If it still does not work, directly plug the AUC into the non-working machine. If it works properly, it means that the Link port of the previous machine may have a problem . Changing the order of the machines ( moving a machine with a Link port problem to the end ) can solve the problem.

3. If it still doesn't work, it means that there is something wrong with the control panel or it is not plugged in properly. You can contact after-sales service and send the machine (or disassemble the control panel yourself) back to Avalon for repair. If the control panel is within the warranty period, we will replace it for you free of charge.

There are 3 AUC arrays. Some machines under some AUCs work normally (green indicators flash alternately), while all machines under some AUCs do not work (yellow and green indicators on the machines are always on). Before we start troubleshooting, let's first understand the functions of the indicators on the AUC.

Green light : Indicates that the AUC is powered on. If it is not on, please replace the Micro USB cable, the interface on the USB HUB or the AUC itself.

Blue light : Indicates that the AUC is successfully connected to the controller and can exchange information normally.

1. If the blue light of some AUC is not on, please troubleshoot it in the same way as the green light is not on.

2. If all AUCs under this controller do not have blue lights on, please check whether the power and network of the controller are normal. If they are normal, try to connect an AUC directly to the USB port of the controller instead of through the USBHUB . If the machine under this AUC can work normally, the USB HUB may be damaged, or the data cable connecting the USBHUB to the controller is not plugged in properly or is damaged.

Red light : Not connected or incorrectly connected to the machine, or the control board of a machine in the series array to which this AUC is connected is burned out by the power supply, resulting in communication errors. A burned control board may cause all machines under this AUC or all machines under this controller to not work properly.

Since there are many possibilities, we can conduct the investigation step by step according to the situation.

1. Confirm that the AUC is correctly connected to the machine through the 5-pin interconnect cable, but the red light is still on. Please use the elimination method to solve the problem.

Cut off the machines (unplug the 5-pin interconnect cables between the machines one by one and observe for about 30 seconds) to troubleshoot the problematic machine, or use AUC to connect the machines one by one to troubleshoot.

2. If all AUCs have red lights on, please cut off the power supply of AUCs one by one, and observe for about 30 seconds each time. If the situation does not change, cut off the next one until the problematic AUC series array is found, and then eliminate it according to method 1.
