HANACOIN - Hana for short, a graphics card coin from South Korea

Our goal is for Hanacoin to be a coin that can be used for instant transactions with minimal or no transaction fees. We believe that the best technology to achieve this is yet to be developed. Our plan is to launch Hanacoin using the Lyra2REv2 algorithm, which is one of the best algorithms available today. Lyra2REv2 allows almost anyone with a GPU to mine Hanacoin, and the algorithm is ASIC resistant. Hanacoin discourages the development of dedicated mining hardware and encourages the distribution of validation tasks. The main difference between Hanacoin and Bitcoin is Hanacoins ability to resist centralized mining. We believe it will be 2020/21 before cryptocurrencies can truly achieve scalability and instantaneity, and by then we will have given Hanacoin the go-ahead to the best technology available. Hanacoin has the flexibility to quickly adapt to the best technology available, without the need for competing teams to reach consensus with their own incentives.

Hanacoin is not a privacy coin. Hanacoin will comply with all Korean regulations and is a transparent coin with a public ledger. Privacy and anonymity oriented coins are becoming a common and often controversial topic. As a result, many figures in the media and government are skeptical of such protocols due to concerns that the new media will be harmed by illegal activities and illicit activities. The government will increase its scrutiny of private coins in the coming years.
