Bitmain officially released a new firmware for Bitcoin mining machine T9+ S9i/S9j to reduce power consumption

The new firmware features of T9+ are as follows:

1. Does not support C5 control panel
2. It can reduce the power consumption of mining machines
3. If the conditions are not met, the system will automatically run in normal mode, and the power consumption will be normal.
4. A small number of mining machines may experience low computing power and instability after upgrading. Please refresh the firmware back to the original version.


The firmware can effectively reduce the power consumption of each T9+ mining machine by about 100W. A small number of mining machines may experience low and unstable computing power and need to be flashed back to the original firmware.

The original power consumption of T9+ is 1432W, which is reduced by 100W to 1332W

Firmware update tutorial:

1. Enter the mining machine IP address in the browser address bar, a dialog box will pop up, enter root as the username and password, click "OK", enter the mining machine backend, click "Upgrade", and enter the mining machine upgrade page.

2. Click "Select File", find the firmware you just downloaded in the pop-up dialog box, and click "OK".

3. After selecting the firmware, click "Flash image" on the right to start updating the firmware.

Notice:

1. If you check "Keep settings", the mining pool and username settings will be retained. If you do not check it, you will need to reset the mining pool and username after the firmware update.

2. The upgrade process takes about 2 minutes. During this period, the mining machine cannot be powered off and no other operations should be performed. Just wait for the upgrade to be completed.
