What is Saronite (XRN)

Saronite is a new decentralized cryptocurrency based on CryptoNote technology and it uses the Cryptonight Heavy algorithm. So basically this coin is anonymous, ASIC durable, and has features that can be found on most privacy coins. Apart from these standard features, this coin is also working on introducing new technology to the CryptoNote protocol. Only a few privacy coins have smart contracts and the popular ones are Enigma (ENG) and Dero. Saronite could be the next coin to have smart contracts on its network. Not only that, they are also planning to build an exchange and a decentralized cloud storage platform.

Saronite Smart Contracts

Smart Contracts or Saronite Contracts - The team behind Saronite is planning to introduce smart contracts to its blockchain. Such smart contracts will allow users to manage assets and create simple tasks where both parties can communicate and agree. Moreover, smart contracts on the Saronite network ensure that they are completely confidential and secure.

Saronite Cloud Storage

According to their roadmap, the first thing that will appear after all the mobile wallets and exchange listings is Saronite Cloud Storage. This cloud storage platform is said to use Saronite coins of $XRN as a payment method. This cloud storage will be powered by Storj – Storj is a decentralized cloud storage platform that relies on Blockchain. It is a peer-to-peer encrypted network that keeps your data safe, secure, and private.

Saronite Exchange

Even as this coin is working towards getting listed on various cryptocurrency exchanges, they are also planning to build their own exchange. This will provide an opportunity for new coins to establish themselves and help reach a wider audience. They promise that there will be no high listing fees and high transaction fees. There will also be a voting system initially; this is based on popular votes where one currency will be exempt from listing fees.

Saronite Wallet Setup:

To receive payments and start purchasing Saronite, you first need a wallet address. Saronite offers a GUI wallet, CLI wallet, and remote wallet clients, available for Windows and Linux. There is currently no Mac wallet in development, as well as they are also developing an Android wallet and an IOS wallet.

Download the zip file, unzip it and complete the wallet setup. The Saronite wallet is based on the SumoKoin wallet, so we assume that a guide is not necessary. How to Mine Saronite (XRN) – CryptoNight Heavy (CPU, NVIDIA, AMD)

We assume that you have your wallet address and hardware ready. Saronite uses the CryptoNight re-algorithm (same as Loki). This algorithm can be mined using CPU, AMD and NVIDIA GPUs. To start mining Saronite, we first need to download the mining software.

To mine CryptoNight Heavy with CPU, NVIDIA and AMD GPUs you can use XMR Stak, which is a CryptoNight miner. Or you can also use the optimized XMRig. Since we already did full tutorials on both mining applications, we will not show you how to setup, configure or fine tune the performance. Instead, we will list the mining pools and sample configuration files so you can start mining right away.
