Jinbei X5 mining machine is the latest blockchain high-performance computing device launched by Huzhou Yihong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., which supports the Litecoin (Scrypt) algorithm. Its official website was released in May 2018 and pre-sale began, with a pre-sale price of 6,299 yuan.

The official website claims that the X5 mining machine is the mining machine with the largest single computing power on the market, with a maximum computing power of 850 MH/s. The parameters announced to the public are as follows:

Mining machine appearance

The X5 mining machine adopts front and rear dual fan design:

After checking the appearance of the mining machine, the following questions were found:

Compared with the Antminer, the logo is clearer:

• The metal sheet of the mining machine shell is obviously rusty (if placed in a mining environment, the rust may be aggravated)

• As shown above: EVA pads can be added between the hashboard and the box to fix them (refer to the Antminer as shown below) to prevent the hashboard from moving.

• The main control board is only fixed with a guide rail. It is recommended to add an EVA pad at the bottom for fixing when installing the PCBA.

Mining machine actual work test

This power supply is provided by the manufacturer: BT-1800FC-G0 (1800W)

1. Mining machine parameter settings

A. Machine connection (note that a single host can only use a single power supply, the rated power of the power supply is above 1800W):

• Connect the hash board power cable

• Connect the control board power cable

• Connect the network cable

• Connect the power cord between the power source and the outlet

• Power on

B.IP settings:

• Turn on your computer and connect the computer and device to the same local area network.

• Install Angry IP Scanner software tool

• Open the search tool and click to search for the IP of the mining machine

• Open the Google Chrome browser and enter the IP of the mining machine: 192.168.1.151

• Unlock the whole machine and add mining pool information

• Wait for the mining pool to connect successfully, click the Home option in the background, and check and confirm the existing computing power curve

2. First test data

Test computer: (Lenovo X230 notebook)

Ambient temperature: 26 degrees

Test location: 30 square meters office, single mining machine

Backend data of the mining machine online for 10 minutes (total machine power: 1478W):

At 1 hour and 46 minutes, the machine background data was observed to be normal. The original plan was to sample data again in 2 hours, but no information was found in the background:

The IP was not changed at this time, and the computer did not perform abnormal operations. This phenomenon was discovered after three consecutive tests on the machine. During the test, the noise at the mining machine's air inlet was about 87dB (20cm away from the fan), and the air outlet temperature was 42.2 degrees.

3. The fourth test data ( after changing the test computer and router)

Hardware appearance

1. Mining hardware

Problem:

• It is recommended to rotate the heat sink of the DC-DC chip of the hash board to be consistent with the air duct of the whole machine (as shown above)

• The DC-DC circuit is designed to use both SMD and DIP. The package design is wrong during the actual PCB LAYOUT. When using DIP package capacitors, insulation is required (as shown below).

2. Mining machine fan

Problem: There are no parameter markings on the front and back of the mining machine fan, and it is impossible to confirm the parameters for material procurement during after-sales maintenance.

Summarize

1. Currently, the single machine is tested in an air-conditioned office environment. The working conditions of the mining machine in the actual mining field are poor, and the status of the mining machine needs further testing.

2. Compared with other Liteminers (Antminer L3+ noise is about 83dB), the noise of the miner is slightly higher.

3. When the mining machine is being carried, there will be a shaking sound from the hashboard. It is recommended to add sponge pads to the hashboard and chassis for shock absorption, and perform a vibration drop test to confirm whether the hashboard heat sink will fall off.
