Two months ago, Dr. Craig S. Wright (hereinafter referred to as CSW) published an article entitled "I am Satoshi Nakamoto" and announced some evidence, continuing to loudly declare that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin.

In addition to the BSV camp, the other two camps were also not idle. Amaury Séchet, a major developer of the BCH camp, jumped out and said that he was Satoshi Nakamoto; and BitcoinCore was also actively promoting the Lightning Network, saying that this was what Satoshi Nakamoto wanted Bitcoin to be like. This battle for the right to speak on Bitcoin has not stopped since the beginning of the year, and it has recently fermented again. CSW began to look for those who had scolded him in the past, "settling accounts after winter."

Anti-BSV Alliance

Hodlonaut, the initiator of the Bitcoin Lightning Network Torch Relay event that was popular some time ago, became the first target of CSW. This relay event brought unprecedented attention to the Lightning Network, with hundreds of people participating in the relay and tens of thousands of people participating in the event, including not only celebrities in the cryptocurrency circle, but also Jack Dorsey (CEO of Twitter) and Reid Hoffman (co-founder of LinkeIn) who participated in the torch relay.

As a staunch supporter of Bitcoin's Lightning Network, Hodlonaut has always believed that CSW is not the founder of Bitcoin. So when CSW claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, Hodlonaut strongly opposed it on Twitter and called CSW a liar.

CSW’s Twitter account has been suspended for a month and he cannot respond directly on Twitter, so he published an article through CoinGeek, a media outlet also in the BSV camp, threatening to sue Hodlonaut through legal channels, demanding that he reveal his identity and apologize. He also offered a reward of $5,000 in BSV to allow netizens to find out the true identity of Hodlonaut.

Not only that, he also wrote an article "Trolls and Bullies", saying that keyboard warriors rely on privacy to attack others unscrupulously, and what he advocated for BSV is to combat such privacy attacks.

Under pressure, Hodlonaut cancelled his account, but this became a catalyst. Those who opposed CSW spontaneously formed an alliance. Many people changed their Twitter nicknames to Hodlonaut and their profile pictures to Hodlonaut's former profile pictures. Some members also set up a donation website for Hodlonaut's lawsuit, with a goal of $20,000. Now 999 people have donated nearly $28,000.

Hodlonaut has been threatened by CSW, and other CSW opponents have received lawyers' letters. Twitter celebrity Peter McCormack tweeted that he had received a lawyer's letter from CSW. He also responded to CSW's lawsuit, saying, "I have prepared 15 lawyers to represent me in court. Craig Wright is definitely not Satoshi Nakamoto." He also drafted an apology letter to Craig Wright, hoping that he would admit his mistakes and apologize to the Bitcoin community.

Many exchanges have removed BSV from their shelves, and deposit confirmation has been extended to 7 days

Among the many CSW opponents, Zhao Changpeng, the founder of Binance Exchange, is definitely the most well-known one. In the previous Lightning Network Torch Relay event, Zhao Changpeng also participated in the torch relay, pushing the event to a new height.

Hodlonaut once mentioned on his Twitter that the money Craig Wright wanted to sue him came from the income from selling BSV on exchanges, and listed a list of exchanges, including Binance, Bitfinex, Kraken, Poloniex, Bittrex, etc. He also encouraged fans to "contact your exchange and tell them that you don't want to support the robbers who threaten community members and want to remove it from the shelves!"

Last Friday, Zhao Changpeng retweeted the tweet about Hodlonaut being sued and said, "Craig Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto. If you do this kind of shit again, we will delist (BSV)!" This was Zhao Changpeng's resistance to Craig Wright's threat to sue Hodlonaut.

This tweet has already caused quite a stir in the cryptocurrency community, with more than 4,000 retweets and more than 15,000 likes. Many people have expressed their approval of Zhao Changpeng's behavior, and CZ himself said that "he does not want to get involved in any debate or team behavior." He also believes that the drop of Bitcoin to $6,000 is closely related to the Bitcoin fork.

Although Zhao Changpeng has said in many interviews that he is unwilling to interfere with market behavior, this statement will inevitably affect the trading of BSV on Binance Exchange, causing unnecessary losses to investors who do not want to participate in this dispute. He said, "I am not a technical team, but I am against fraud. Before signing, everyone is Satoshi Nakamoto, except Craig Wright."

After Binance announced the delisting of BSV on the evening of April 15, the market price of BSV plummeted by 12%, falling to the 13th place in market value. At the same time, the price of BCH soared by 12%, rising to the 4th place in market value.

CoinBase extends deposit confirmation to 7 days, and many exchanges consider delisting

In addition to Binance threatening to delist BSV, Coinbase has also quietly joined the anti-CSW alliance. According to social media @区块链骗局, Coinbase has quietly modified the BSV deposit confirmation time. Currently, users need to confirm 1008 blocks to complete the transaction when they deposit BSV into their accounts. Based on the speed of 10 minutes for a BSV block, it takes 7 days to complete a BSV deposit and transaction.

In contrast, BCH only needs 12 blocks to confirm a transaction. The time difference between 2 hours and 7 days has caused many investors to doubt Coinbase's intentions. Public opinion believes that Coinbase's move is to expel BSV tokens from the exchange, which is directly related to Craig Wright's recent threat to sue Hodlonaut.

At the same time, exchanges including Kraken and Shapeshift are considering or deciding to delist BSV. Kraken is voting on whether to delist and has received 73% support; Shapeshift has decided to delist BSV within 48 hours.

The confrontation between the Anti-BSV Alliance represented by Changpeng Zhao and the BSV organization represented by CSW is still going on. Supporters of each side are calling each other liars.
