There are many Bitcoin mines hidden in the hydropower stations in the Dadu River Basin in Ganzi and Kangding, Sichuan. In order to purchase low-cost electricity from nearby power stations, some of the "mines" have no environmental impact assessments and no construction permits, and are suspected of being illegally built. Some factories are even built on river banks.

On June 8, a reporter from Cover News learned from relevant departments of Kangding City that based on the preliminary investigation, on June 7, an inspection team led by Kangding Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Jia Mo, together with members of multiple departments of Kangding City, conducted an investigation and rectification of the "three no" projects and production chaos in the Zhedong area of ​​Kangding City.

The inspection team adopted the method of on-site office, on-site investigation and on-site rectification to rectify the illegal construction along the Dadu River, the lack of construction planning land use permits, the lack of construction project construction permits, and the lack of land use certificates.

"Legal projects must be protected, and production chaos must be dealt with severely." Jia Mo said that all efforts must be made to rectify projects that violate regulations, are built without approval, have incomplete procedures, are perfunctory, have poor rectification, and fail to ensure safety.

The reporter also learned that the relevant project parties must submit the relevant procedures and materials to the Kangding Municipal Government Office on June 10, and must resolutely stop construction and production before the procedures are completed.
