The new product launch conference of BitMicro Miner was held at Chengdu Marriott Hotel on May 19. It is understood that the Shenma M21S mining machine has a computing power of up to 56T and a power consumption ratio as low as 60W/T. The mining machine is scheduled to be shipped in batches in early July. The M21S supports the SHA256 algorithm and has the characteristics of low power consumption, integration, easy heat dissipation, and high computing power.

Recently, we conducted actual testing and confirmation on the Shenma M21S mining machine . The following is our evaluation content .

Unboxing:

The protective layer inside the box is wrapped in a dustproof bag and an EPE board is added to enhance the vibration reduction effect. The EPE board is customized to fit the main body and comes with a power cord.

The power cord uses an international 300/500V 3-core*1.5mm wire diameter, which is significantly thicker than the more common 3*0.75 international wire on the market. ( A 16A socket is required )

Mining pool and mining machine settings :

A: Find the mining machine IP: After the power is supplied, the mining machine starts to start. After the green light of the mining machine starts to flash, find the mining machine IP, open the software, select the "Detect IP" tab, set the room number, rack number, layer number on the rack, and position number of the layer where the mining machine is located, click "Start", and then press the IP button on the mining machine. The computer will feedback the mining machine IP.

B: After finding the IP of the mining machine, enter the obtained IP address in the web page, enter the username and password, log in, and enter the Cgminer configuration page. In the Cgminer configuration interface, modify the mining pool address and miner name. After modification, click "Save & Apply" in the lower right corner to save the modified configuration.

C: Modify the IP address (applicable to the management of large-scale mining machines in mining factories, and can be skipped for a small number of mining machines)

Click on the upper menu bar

"Configuration/Interfaces" enters the mining software IP address setting interface, click "Edit" to set the IP address to a fixed IP. After the project modification is completed, click "Status/CGMiner Status" in the upper menu bar to return to the home page.

The ambient temperature of the general mode test is 26.4 degrees Celsius and the noise level is 46.7dB ( the machine's air outlet is facing the outdoors )

The computing power of the whole machine is 58.8T, the power consumption of the machine is 3639W, the air outlet noise is 98.7dB, and the air outlet temperature is 67.9 degrees Celsius.

The computing power of the computing boards are: 18.7T, 20.1T, and 20.1T respectively.

The maximum PCB temperatures are 71, 70.5, and 72.5 respectively.

The fan speeds are: 4980 rpm and 4980 rpm respectively.

Power on for 1 hour:

The computing power of the whole machine is 58.8T, the power consumption of the machine is 3646W, the air outlet noise is 99.4dB, and the air outlet temperature is 66 degrees Celsius.

Power on for 2 hours:

The computing power of the whole machine is 58.8T, the power consumption of the machine is 3652W, the air outlet noise is 99.6dB, and the air outlet temperature is 65.1 degrees Celsius.

The computing power of the computing boards are: 18.6T, 20.0T, and 20.1T respectively.

The maximum PCB temperatures are 71, 71, and 72.5 respectively.

The fan speeds are 4980 rpm and 4950 rpm respectively.

Power on for 3 hours:

The computing power of the whole machine is 58.7T, the power consumption of the machine is 3668W, the air outlet noise is 99.4dB, and the air outlet temperature is 63.6 degrees Celsius.

Power on for 4 hours:

The computing power of the whole machine is 58.7T, the power consumption of the machine is 3657W, the air outlet noise is 99.1dB, and the air outlet temperature is 64.7 degrees Celsius.

The computing power of the computing boards are: 18.5T, 20.1T, and 20.1T respectively.

The maximum PCB temperatures are 70.5, 71, and 73 respectively.

The fan speeds are: 5280 rpm and 5280 rpm respectively.

The M21S control board uses the Allwinner Technology H6 chip as the main control. The H6 is an ARM quad-core A53 CPU, with a MaliT720 GPU, supporting OpenGL3.1, DDR4, and EMMC5.0. The chip performance is 77% higher than the previous generation; decoding supports 4K@60fps, and the highest resolution can reach 6K (5780×2890); supports HDR10, HLG, and integrates the Allwinner Smartcolor3.0 intelligent image quality engine.

There are two types of hashing chips in the three M21S hashing boards. The following is a comparison of the two hashing boards. The circuit layout is basically the same:

From the barcode suffixes on the edge of the board, we can see that there are two types, KF1921 and KF1922, corresponding to different hashing boards:

Summarize

When the Shenma M21S mining machine is working, the power of the whole machine will exceed 3600W. The power cord configured by the original factory tends to get hot when working, so it is recommended to replace it. In addition, the mining machine computing board uses two chips (KF1921/KF1922), which is very rare in previous mining machines.
