The Chandigarh District Court in India has issued summons to Chandigarh police officers for not returning the production warrants of the two defendants. The summons were issued by Chief Judicial Magistrate Abhishek Phutela, "The production search warrants against the accused Pankaj Adlakh and Vivek Bhardwaj were not returned. A notice will be issued on August 1 to the summons officer, Chandigarh, to explain the reasons for not returning the search warrants against the accused. A fresh production search warrant will be issued again on August 1." On May 10, the court also issued a notice to the superintendent of Tihar Central Jail in New Delhi, asking him to appear in person to explain why he did not hand over the two accused. However, on May 24, the central jail officials explained to the court that the accused had been transferred to Pune Jail.
