More than 50 Bitcoin mining machines were stolen and police arrested suspects in many places

Over 50 bitcoin mining machines from a bitcoin mining factory in Danba County, Sichuan, disappeared overnight. Police officers visited Meishan, Chengdu, and Leshan to conduct investigations. Recently, with the last fugitive Deng voluntarily surrendering himself, the bitcoin mining machine theft case was finally solved.

In the early morning of April 26, 2018, more than 50 bitcoin mining machines worth about RMB 580,000 from the bitcoin mining factory at Jiangda Power Station in Gezong Township, Danba County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province disappeared.

After receiving the alarm, the Danba County Public Security Bureau quickly set up a special task force. After retrieving video surveillance and conducting field visits, the police found that the vehicle involved in the crime had finally appeared in Dongpo District, Meishan City. After squatting, the police arrested Xia and seized more than 50 lost Bitcoin mining machines on the spot.

After investigation, it was found that accomplices Feng and Wei were arrested one after another after the incident. Deng fled after hearing the news and was listed as an online fugitive.

On October 8 this year, under the joint persuasion of the police officers in charge of the case and his family members, the last criminal suspect, Deng, voluntarily surrendered to the Mabian County Public Security Bureau and truthfully confessed his illegal and criminal facts.

According to Deng, he used to be an installer at the Bitcoin mining factory of Jiangda Power Station in Gezong Township, Danba County. Later, he and Xia had no jobs and were in financial difficulties, so they decided to steal mining machines. At present, the suspect Deng has been detained by the Danba County Public Security Bureau in accordance with the law, and the case is being further handled.
