Craig Wright plans to obtain 6,000 encryption patents, saying Bitcoin will eventually be abandoned

Abstract: Craig Wright, chief scientist of nChain, who claims to be the founder of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto, said in an interview with Australian crypto media Micky that the company plans to obtain 6,000 encryption and blockchain patents.

nChain chief scientist Craig Wright, who claims to be the creator of Bitcoin, said in an interview with Australian crypto media Micky that the company plans to obtain 6,000 encryption and blockchain patents.

Wright said in the interview that these patents cover many aspects of the encryption industry and blockchain field.

He said, "Basically, it depends on whether I want to try to stop all blockchain forks and altcoin scams, and the only way I can really think of is to start applying for patents. Some of them I can charge for, that is, license the technology. There are also some cryptocurrencies that are basically pirated, such as BTC and other problematic Bitcoins. There is no need to try to organize them. They already have problems. In the end, people will realize that it doesn't work."

From a legal perspective, Wright’s plan could have a significant impact on Bitcoin forks and other altcoins . The patents he plans to apply for could also affect the implementation of Bitcoin’s expansion solutions. Wright reportedly owns patents for blockchain electronic data interchange and other expansion and second-layer solutions.

If the report is true, Wright could theoretically launch legal action against Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash . He argues that ownership of the patents provides “certain rights” that he plans to exercise in the future.

In May 2019, Wright began to apply for copyright for the Bitcoin white paper. In an interview with Micky, he made it clear that the copyright application was one of the measures he planned to take against Bitcoin. However, although Wright calls himself Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, he has been unable to provide clear evidence so far. (Bitpush)
