F2Pool Global Business Director: Antminer S19 and Shenma Miner M30 are unlikely to be deployed on a large scale before June/July

According to the Daily Planet, the Bitcoin network computing power has recently increased again, with the average computing power reaching a new high of about 117.5 EH/s in the past 7 days. F2Pool COO Dayu predicts that before the Bitcoin halving, the Bitcoin computing power may reach as high as 130 EH/s in the next two months, which is about a 10% increase compared to now.
Thomas Heller, global business director of F2Pool, has the same expectation that Bitcoin computing power may remain around 120-130 EH/s before May. Recently, major manufacturers have released new equipment, such as Bitmain AntMiner S19 series miners and Microbit WhatsMiner M30 series miners. In this regard, Heller said, "It is unlikely to see large-scale deployment of M30 and S19 models before June/July. It remains to be seen how the impact of the new coronavirus in South Korea will affect the supply chain of WhatsMiner's new miners, as they get chips from Samsung, while Bitmain gets chips from TSMC in Taiwan, China." The outbreak of the new coronavirus has disrupted plans by many large mining farms to expand their facilities before the Spring Festival. Because of this, they are now taking a more cautious approach before the halving in May. (CoinDesk)
