Ethereum Classic has completed its production reduction target and the latest block reward has been reduced to 3.2 ETC

At 14:07 on March 17, the Ethereum Classic blockchain reached the 10,000,000 block height, completing the 20% reduction target. The latest block 10,000,001 reward was reduced from 4 ETC to 3.2 ETC. Based on the block speed of 13 seconds per block, about 21,265 ETC will be produced per day after the reduction. The current ETC circulation is 117 million, with a market value of 561 million US dollars.

On December 12, 2017, ETC conducted its first production reduction at block height 5,000,000, and the block reward was reduced from 5 ETC to 4 ETC. It is expected that the third production reduction will take place in 2 years, when the block reward will be reduced to 2.56 ETC.
