Twitter user: Due to the sluggish oil market, a Canadian oil mine has started mining

According to BlockBeats, Twitter user Steve Brrrbour tweeted yesterday that due to the sluggish oil market, a Canadian oil mine began mining Bitcoin and installed two Ohmm mining devices for the first time.

The Canadian company Upstream Data allows oil companies to purchase or rent modular data centers that can be installed in production facilities that emit or burn natural gas. Its Ohmm devices vary in mining capacity, but all utilize natural gas in an efficient way. At the end of 2019, three new Ohmm Mini 50 kW Bitcoin mining data centers were put into operation in Alberta, Canada. These devices save natural gas that would otherwise be emitted, which allows producers to open wells and increase oil production.
