Exclusive: The hashrate of the Biter mining pool under Wanyou Hashrate was once ranked in the top ten

Faced with sluggish coin prices and pressure from BTC halving, the cryptocurrency mining industry is ushering in a new round of turbulence and reshuffle.

Wu Blockchain exclusively learned that the Bitmain mining pool under Wanyou Computing Power is in the process of being liquidated recently. The computing power has dropped from more than 4,000P at the beginning of March to about 200P at present. Miners have been notified to transfer to other mining pools, and the future will focus on mining small currencies.

BytePool.com and 1THash.top are both mining pools under Wanyou Hash. Both of them are ranked in the top ten, mainly relying on their own hashrate. It is expected that most of the hashrate withdrawn by BytePool will be transferred to another mining pool. Wanyou Hash was established by several senior miners, and one of the bosses is a former Canaan employee.

A miner told Wu Blockchain that the staff of the Better Mining Pool said the reason for the withdrawal was related to the mining pool's low profitability and lack of profit. According to people familiar with the matter, the Better Mining Pool has suffered serious losses recently.

The flip side of traditional miners clearing out mining pools is that exchanges are aggressively entering the mining pool field. Binance has just announced that it will soon launch a mining pool and set up a related team to recruit employees from the mining industry. Huobi and OK Mining Pool have also been active recently.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said that Binance mining pool will cover POW, POS and staking, and in the future the top exchange mining pools will be ahead of other mining pools.
