From a novice to now personally involved in the design and construction of mining farms, I managed and maintained more than 5,000 S9 mining machines at the peak period! I have experienced the most glorious moments of Bitcoin and also endured the lowest period. Until now, I still have a firm belief in Bitcoin!

In August 2017, I bought three S9s for 15,000 yuan in the market. I took them home excitedly. As soon as I turned them on, I was stunned. The noise was so loud that I couldn't stand it. Seeing that the three machines were unusable at home, I was worried and couldn't sleep all night. I looked for mining farms online overnight. Due to the small quantity, many mining farms did not accept them. I finally found one in Tianjin. The electricity bill for three machines was 2,000 yuan. Haha, it's really fun to think about it now. Fortunately, the mining farm was put online and operated quickly, and then we experienced a big bull market. I really miss that period of time, and then I sold it. I also met new friends to cooperate in building a mining farm. I came and went, through bull and bear markets, and didn't make much money, but I met a lot of friends.

At the end of 2018, I was about to throw away the S9 because it was really useless and was delayed by various things. In 2019, something unexpected happened. It is difficult to describe the S9 as brand new or turning waste into treasure - No.1 Ant S9!

As for S9, there are two batches of goods, which left a deep impression on me. The first batch was in September 2016, when S9 was just launched. The price of the currency was the same as now, relatively speaking, it was still at a low level, and the static payback period was quite long. Many people think that the price of S9 is too expensive. But at that time, we had a friend who was very optimistic about this machine and bought 1,000 units at one go. His reason was that the life cycle of S9 would be very long. I also agreed with his judgment, and followed him to buy 200 units. As a result, after I held it in my hands for a month, he told me that someone was willing to buy our batch of machines at a higher price than we paid. In just one month, we made about 200,000 yuan from this batch of S9. I calculated that it was quite cost-effective, so I sold the machine. I didn't expect that this batch of machines could be used to mine until now, and the price even rose to 30,000 yuan per machine. It made me understand what it means to stop profit too early.

There is another batch of S9 that I remember very clearly. It was in May 2017. At that time, I had an agreement with Li Kuang and his team to buy 3,000 S9s. Li Kuang and his team first sent the machines to our site. We agreed to give us the machines at the end of May. As a result, when May was approaching, the price of the currency soared. The price of the machines in the market also soared. When the agreed date for the hashrate cut came, the price of the machines in the market had risen by more than 30% compared to the originally agreed price. I was quite worried that Bitmain would break the contract and stop selling the machines to us. But later I found that my worries were unnecessary. Bitmain still gave us the machines at the original price and on the specified time. It was almost equivalent to that each of my machines was several thousand cheaper than the market price.
