At 8:00 am on June 19th, Beijing time, the second phase of the Filecoin testnet was restarted after a reset. This reset replaced the Testnet with the previous Interopnet, which solved some bugs in the previous version and improved the performance of the chain.
This reset is also the last important update before the testnet reward plan is launched. Major mining machine manufacturers are gearing up and competing secretly, and the competition is more intense than any previous version.
At around 13:00 on June 19, the test node "t01009" built by Spacetime Cloud was successfully listed, becoming the first node with an effective computing power exceeding 1TB.
At the 786th block height, the "t01009" node of Spacetime Cloud became the first unofficial node to successfully complete block packaging.
At 15:50 in the afternoon, the effective computing power of the t01009 node surpassed the official genesis node, becoming the node with the highest effective computing power in the entire network.
Subsequently, various nodes were listed one after another, and the competition became fierce. The ranking of the computing power ranking list changed frequently, but the computing power advantage of the top three was still very obvious, gradually widening the gap with the nodes outside the TOP3. It is worth noting that the reset test network tends to be balanced in block packaging, and we also see a very beautiful block diagram. The average number of blocks in the block height is as high as 4.4, which is very conducive to the security and stability of the chain.
With the restart of the testnet, the 4 million testnet reward plan that everyone is concerned about will be launched in two weeks. If the testnet progresses smoothly, the mainnet is expected to be launched as scheduled in mid-August. Whether it is the testnet reward plan or the initial mining after the mainnet is launched, the core is still computing power, that is, the effective packaging efficiency per unit time. Therefore, in this stage of testing, we will use a variety of solutions to test to ensure that we can use the best hardware configuration, the best cluster solution, and the strongest algorithm program in the testnet reward plan in early July, and give back to the majority of users who support Spacetime Cloud with the best results.
As of 8:00 on June 20, the effective computing power of the Space-Time Cloud test node "t01009" reached 225TB, returning to the top of the network in terms of effective computing power + block production rate.
