Hengtong Cloud COO Zheng Xiangjin delivered a keynote speech titled "New Era • New Data Storage Migration" at the summit:

What I want to share with you today is the new era of data storage and new migration. Migration means moving from one place to another. In fact, migration is also a kind of knowledge and skill conversion. Data migration can also be said to be more complex and detailed. Our other advantage is the diversified knowledge structure of designers and some construction personnel.

How do you view this issue and what do you do in the new data storage migration?

First of all, I would like to share with you a quote from a Russian writer: "If possible, stay ahead of the times. If you cannot keep up with the times, don't lag behind them." I believe that the guests present here are already at the forefront of the times by working together to build the IPFS ecosystem. We can also apply this quote to the development of Hengtong Cloud. Hengtong Cloud is a leading cloud computing service provider in China. The company has ten years of experience in software architecture and 15 years of experience in hardware integration solutions. It was listed on the New Third Board in 2016.

Before the cloud business, Hengtong Cloud was originally a company that focused on hardware integration solutions. We have very rich experience in the IDC computer room field. It can be said that at that time, we were actually keeping pace with the times. In 2010, the Hangzhou Municipal Government issued a policy document to accelerate the pace of software. At that time, Hengtong Cloud saw the opportunity and plunged into the software industry. It first cooperated with the largest private cloud manufacturer in the world and arranged various certifications and trainings for engineers. In just half a year, all engineers obtained VCP certificates, officially becoming the primary partner in China, and established a technical service center in Zhejiang Province.

After that, our product line continued to expand and enrich. Later, the company also established cooperation with some well-known domestic and foreign software manufacturers, including Graph Data, Yonghong, Alibaba Cloud, etc. We have cooperated with them before. Hardware manufacturers such as HP, IBM, DELL, etc. have in-depth cooperation with us.

Hengtong Cloud mainly develops some cloud product software on its own, mainly the planning of some cloud computing data centers. The scope of cloud computing is very broad. Everyone is here for distributed storage. Let me briefly introduce our customer base and business scope related to cloud storage.

We set a very clear goal before we started making software. We started out by specializing in the financial industry because the industry has very high requirements for private cloud. To date, we have covered all city commercial banks, and have been deeply involved in the financial industry, government, medical, manufacturing, education and other industries, and have achieved great success.

Next, I will take one of our bank solutions as an example to briefly introduce the role of storage disaster recovery. In fact, the BBD of our data center is very long, and there are many solutions. Next, I will explain the storage disaster recovery solution B. This solution utilizes the SRM solution, which mainly automatically migrates some underlying storage of data from one data center to another.

What are the benefits of doing this? It can minimize downtime, even with zero downtime, and automatically migrate, thus achieving load balancing between sites. In terms of shared cloud, we mainly help customers solve their storage needs on demand, and they only need to pay for what they use. We will also help customers achieve the best overall solution in terms of reliability, availability, performance, API, and cost.

The most important thing customers care about when it comes to cloud storage is price and security. For example, in terms of price, AWS, for example, the coldest data is data that is almost immobile, and 1 TB costs less than RMB 100 per year. The hottest data that is frequently accessed costs RMB 1,700 per year for 1 TB. Because each region is different, there may be some differences, but the difference is not much. In terms of security, as the AWS engineer just said, they can include a level of 99.99%, followed by an SLA level of 11 nines.

How do we understand that for every one million pieces of data, if they are stored for ten years, the loss rate is less than 1%. As long as there is such an accident, it is a challenge for human society and a direction for progress.

As a result, IPFS decentralized distributed storage came into being. In 2018, Hengtong Cloud conducted a series of research on the underlying layer of IPFS and Filecoin. It has been three years so far. We believe that the most important thing about IPFS is the storage of valid data, which means that some valid data must be stored.

We hope that in the future, when the underlying protocol can develop efficiently and stably, Hengtong Cloud can lead our customers to migrate part of the cloud storage business to IPFS. This is also the central idea of ​​my speech today. We also call on and hope that everyone, whether individuals or enterprises, can participate in such a great project and work together to contribute to the sustainable and stable development of the IPFS ecosystem.
