Bill Gates, Musk and other celebrities’ Twitter accounts were hacked. Will Bitcoin be doubled back?

A large number of celebrity Twitter accounts were hacked early this morning, followed by Bitcoin scam links, including rapper Kanye West, former US President Barack Obama and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, in addition to Uber and Apple Corporation.

The content of these tweets is roughly the same, basically "You give me $1,000, I will return you 2,000" or "You give me Bitcoin, I will return double", etc. After being deleted, these contents were repeatedly posted by hackers.

Twitter has officially released a statement saying that they have noticed the security incident and are currently working on an emergency fix. Twitter later said that while it is reviewing and resolving the issue, users may temporarily be unable to post tweets or change passwords. It is reported that hackers have previously used fake accounts to commit fraud, but this is the first time that a celebrity's real account has been attacked.
