Several issues with A card drivers

First of all, I wish you all a happy weekend! Without taking up too much of your weekend time, I will try to explain a few questions in the shortest possible way. At the same time, please forward them to those who need them to avoid low-level errors and reduce the workload of front-line customer service personnel such as miner software, mining pools, and mining farms. Our customer service staff are already overwhelmed by these problems.

The picture below is the driver download page of AMD official website. Optional means "optional", which can be understood as a test version, and Recommended means "recommended".

For 460/470/480/560/570/580/590/Vega56/Vega64/VII graphics cards, do not install driver versions above 20.5.0. In the new driver environment, the Claymore kernel timing may cause a blue screen crash, and the PhoenixMiner kernel timing will also fail, and the hashrate will not exceed 29+. Don't chase the new ones for old cards (listed above).

The 5500XT/5600XT/5700/5700XT graphics cards are in an unstable period and the timing function is invalid for these cards. If you want to try the latest version, you can try it boldly.

If you reinstall the driver, the 20.4.2 installation experience is pretty good.

The following figure is the 18.12.3 (old version installation style) driver installation interface. Some users are at a loss. The left side is the installed driver version, the middle "downloaded" is the driver version you are about to install, and the right side is the version recommended by the official website. If you click the option on the right, you need to download it again.

In most cases, there is no need to uninstall the driver, let alone DDU. Just install whatever you want, unless the system is in disorder.

After the A card driver is installed, there are files in the AMD directory of the C drive that have not been cleaned up. If the hard disk space is insufficient, please delete them yourself.
